Police in Manassas Park, Virginia, are trying to find the owner of a mystery sheep that led officers on a "food pursuit" through a residential neighborhood, UPI reports.
The Manassas Park Police Department said on social media that officers were called to the area of Nancy Street in the Blooms Crossing community on Wednesday on a report of a sheep on the loose.
The sheep was detained "after a brief food pursuit that led straight into someone's backyard," police said, following the statement with running and lettuce emojis.
"No charges have been filed at this time, but we do suspect a few outstanding baaa-violations," the post said.
"If you're missing your four-legged fugitive, contact the Manassas Park Police Department," officials wrote.
